A conviction has been growing in my heart. A conviction to open up. To speak out. To declare. To bring light into darkness. To say things as they are. And yes, I know those are not complete sentences.
I have to speak. Otherwise, the rocks will cry out in my place. My 'job' as an artist is to reveal light on the surface of a canvas to communicate a message of beauty. But that is only a tiny portion of who I am.
So, I have decided to write more, here on this blog. To write on things pertaining to LIFE, pertaining to ART, pertaining to BUSINESS, and pertaining to GOOD NEWS. They may not all be complete thoughts. I may ask more questions than give answers. But they will impart LIFE.

You see, I have only ONE life. And the life that I have was created for ONE purpose, and ONE purpose only. Stick with me here---- to magnify and exalt Jesus Christ. Yep. That's it. That is WHO I am.
There was a time when I tried to be two people---ha! What a miserable time. And I may share more of that later. But here it is....
" all flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The the grass withers and the flower fades, Becasue the breath of the Lord blows upon it. Surely the people are grass.
The grass withers and the flower fades, But the Word of our God stands forever." - Isaiah 40:6-8
There is something more solid, more real, more tangible, more alive than what you can see with your eyes. That reality is God Himself. And He has revealed Himself to man by His spoken and written Word and through His very person -- the Holy Spirit.
If you live life merely for the visible world you will be like grass that quickly withers away and is forgotten. But if instead you live by faith in the eternal word of God you will live ---FOREVER.
"And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." - John 2:17
Life is to short to live for a realm that is Passing away. But, you can LIVE by every Word of the Eternal God and receive His very nature. You see....
WORD precedes IMAGE .
The Word came first. Then all reality that we see came afterward. I often times get these backward and try to come up with IMAGE before hearing the words that give that image life. So, I am on a journey to listen more closely--to wait on the word that brings forth the image.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made."
- John 1:1-3
So what will your ONE LIFE be based on?
