We are thrilled to announce our 2023 ArtXtravaganza Featured Artist: Jonathan Howe.
Jonathan is master landscape and portrait artist who finds inspiration in the hills and valleys of East Tennessee and the surrounding countryside.
Jonathan combines a unique technique of brushwork and pallet knife painting to create luminous, peaceful landscapes, the kind that dreams are made of.
Always up for a challenge, Jonathan is adding a new feather to his cap: book illustrator. He is partnering with children’s book author, Hannah McConnell, to tell the delightful story of The Artist and the Wren which was inspired by an experience in his own studio. The book will feature Jonathan’s intricate and charming gouache illustrations and will be published later this year.
Jonathan is also working on some new abstract pieces as well as his signature impressionistic realism landscapes in preparation for ArtX 2023. Mark your calendars and come checkout Jonathan’s beautiful work along with the work of 60+ fellow fine artists at the Webb School of Knoxville, March 3-5.

I am thrilled to be back again to Artist on Location at the Knoxville Museum of Art. This is one of the most enjoyable unique shows of the year in Knoxville. Over twenty artists come together and paint outdoors (Plein Air Painting) for the five days leading up to the show at the KMA. We then bring all our wet paintings, framed and ready to show and sell at the wonderful fundraising event.
I look forward to this every year and am eager to get outside to paint this beautiful spring. Each new painting will be a fresh vision of East Tennessee, so come to be the first to spot one that you love.
We want to invite you to a special art show and sale event on April 3rd, 2021 in Maryville, TN. A beautiful newly transformed business, Creative Spark Studio (https://creativesparkstudiotn.com) is hosting our outdoor Art Show and Sale. This will be a fun engaging atmosphere to browse my new spring collection of Oil Landscapes, many I will be showcasing here for the first time. I will also be demonstrating many of my painting techniques during the event. I have been working hard on many new landscape paintings expressing the incredible beauty of the East Tennessee countryside. From rolling farmland, to the expansive mountains, you will find a unique oil painting that speaks to you.

Several local businesses will be joining this wonderful Saturday event. We are excited to have Jordan Coffee Roasters with us who will be hosting a mobile coffee bar, complete with lattes and specialty coffee drinks all made from their freshly roasted coffee blends. Bryan Brown from Jordan Coffee Roasters prepares and roasts all their coffee on the mountains of the Foothills Parkway. We have recently gotten know Bryan and his wife and we just love their fresh coffee as well as their vision for business, and we want you all to meet them!

We are also excited to have, A Spoonful of Sugar also joining us with their food truck. They will be here with their delicious lunch items and pastry sweets from 10-2pm. ( https://www.a-spoonful.com )
Sarah Howe (my lovely wife) will also be joining us with a unique collection of floral arrangements and vintage vases to add a some spring cheer to your home. Each design is full of whimsy, organic in structure, colorful life springing from uniquely collected vases. We believe that flowers are the perfect companion to beautiful art.

I am thrilled to return this year to Knoxville Museum of Art’s Artists on Location show held on April 27th at the KMA. This is a unique show that I participate in. This show invoices about thirty regional artist who will be paining Plein Air Painting (Outdoor Painting) in the Knoxville and surrounding areas all week long leading up to the show! Then for a One Night ONLY show that saturday night, all the paintings will be showcased and sold at the Museum for a packed fantastic art show. Last year was a great success and I can’t wait to start painting again for this year!

I am so thrilled to partner with one of the oldest family run furniture and design stores in Knoxville, O.P. Jenkins Furniture and Design. Starting April 20th, I will have a beautiful selection of large oil landscapes on display for sale in the beautiful four story show room in downtown Knoxville. These paintings will be available for purchase through O.P. Jenkins so come on down and take a look.
In addition, I will be on sight at O.P. Jenkins on APRIL 27th from 11:30am-3pm for a special event held at O.P. Jenkins to showcase local business as part of the Dogwood Arts Festival. I will have an additional selections of paintings to showcase that will be only available during this showtime, so come on out for the festivities!!

Our Annual "A Painting a Day" event is back and we're ready for new, one-of-a-kind original works of art.There are few things as unique and priceless as a original oil painting, designed just for you. Like previous years, there are slots available for certain days in December, just select the day you would like, and the 8"x10" painting created by artist Jonathan Howe on that day, will be yours.
For the month of December, Monday through Friday an 8x10 painting will be created and sold.
Each day someone will be able to sign-up to receive that days' painting at only $98+ shipping& tax (originally $298).
